ART (inspiring) ART: an exploration
This year's solstice box theme is a celebration of the artists and their work that have inspired and influenced my own – and, most importantly, whose work has reminded me why making art matters in the first place
Art Inspiring Art is an exploration of play, experimentation, and embracing a creative spark even when it flickers in an unfamiliar place, where you have to be a beginner again. It’s an exploration of trust: in artists, in the creative process, and in the things that move us.
This year, I am creating our Solstice collection as a tribute to artists ranging from Sheila Hicks and Mark Rothko to Olga de Amaral, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Annie Albers, and the unknown artists whose work I’ve stumbled upon at exactly the right moment. It is a celebration of art made by human hands and hearts.

Below, you will find the full breakdown of our Winter Solstice Box, ART (inspiring) ART ❤️🔥
This year, I'm fully leaning into our theme, Art Inspiring Art, by flexing my creative muscles through new art forms that have been carrying and inspiring me this season: yarn wrapworks, painting, and writing 🥹
For the first time, I'll have my hand (literally) in every piece of this collection. From what you already know of me and our yarn ❤️ to what you haven't seen me do quite yet — wrapworks (more on that soon), painting, and written work.
Over the last two years, I've found myself inspired in ways I never expected. I've returned to an old love, writing, and rediscovered the joy of creative play through a new-to-me art form: painting. A couple of weeks ago, I realized that if I was going to create a collection around Art Inspiring Art, I needed to take it all the way. This felt like an opportunity to throw myself into something creative again in a way that is both familiar and unfamiliar, chaotic and controlled.
This collection isn't just an exploration of creating, it's also an exploration of trust. Of giving myself room to stretch beyond creating new colorways and seeing how my inspiration translates through writing, painting, and wrapping. I'm genuinely beyond thrilled to undertake this project, and I dare say...I think this might be my favorite one yet❤️
Because of the scope of this year's box, quantities will be more limited than in years past. I want to be able to fully dedicate the time and care that every single box deserves 🥹
I cannot WAIT to get started, and I'm so excited to share more about the art inside this box over the next couple of days. I hope you're excited too ❤️
ART (inspiring) ART is coming to the shop Sunday, July 19th at 7 PM MT. All boxes will ship the week of November 1st, and the opening will begin on November 30th.
